Alder Grey

Bring a contemporary touch into your home with this Roman blind in Alder Grey. It’s a clever balance of old and new, modern yet not garish. As with all our new Alder fabrics, the print features a crackle effect, where it looks like a solid block of colour has been smashed into smaller pieces, resting on a cream background. But Alder Grey is slightly different, in that the colour featured this time is the backdrop, rather than the shape, almost like a negative. It works really well, as the grey could be quite heavy otherwise, but as it fills the gaps between the cream it’s a lot quieter. There’s a hint of pink to both the grey and the cream too, as if the pairing brings out this colour hidden in both, reflecting off one another.

This is our promise to you that you’re investing in a quality product that’s made to the highest specifications. As part of your warranty we will repair or replace any faulty goods free of charge.

Using the upholstery attachment, gently vacuum your Roman blinds. Work in a downwards motion from top to bottom, paying particular attention to the bottom and side edges, where dust may gather. Stains can be spot treated with a clean, damp cloth or a specialist stain remover. Do not machine wash your Roman blinds – many of our fabrics are dry clean only.

All Hillarys products conform to European safety legislation. When you buy a Roman bind, your Hillarys fitter will also install a discreet little cleat or hook for the cord to wrap around, so there are no loose cords. These are fitted at a minimum height of 1.5m above the floor. Having a safety device is a legal requirement even in homes without children. If you move home and leave your blinds you have an obligation to make sure they are legally safe.
