A Roman blind in Anika Silver is going to create a real focal point at any window you chose to use it. It’s all about the pattern with this fabric, but not in the normal way. No multi-colours, blockwork or geometrics here, but a flurry of flowers, leaves and stems in quite a large design, and from a distance it looks like a simple monochrome of black on cream, but get closer and you can see that it’s not actually a print but open-work embroidery, the delicate detailing making clever use of a wide variety of stitches to create a a real sense of depth to the pattern. It’s a Roman blind that will work just as well in summer as it will in winter, either on its own or paired with curtains.

Using the upholstery attachment, gently vacuum your Roman blinds. Work in a downwards motion from top to bottom, paying particular attention to the bottom and side edges, where dust may gather. Stains can be spot treated with a clean, damp cloth or a specialist stain remover. Do not machine wash your Roman blinds – many of our fabrics are dry clean only.

All Hillarys products conform to European safety legislation. When you buy a Roman bind, your Hillarys fitter will also install a discreet little cleat or hook for the cord to wrap around, so there are no loose cords. These are fitted at a minimum height of 1.5m above the floor. Having a safety device is a legal requirement even in homes without children. If you move home and leave your blinds you have an obligation to make sure they are legally safe.
