If you’ve ever been to La Palma, in the Canary Islands, then our Obsidian wood blind will be a colour that’s familiar to you. The matt black colour takes its name from the volcanic rock, just like the volcanic sand the beach is made from that makes it such an usual sight. This is a blind that’s going to create a strong and striking look wherever you choose to use it and it’s definitely not a run-of-the-mill take. Close your Faux Wood blinds and tilt the slats downwards until flat. Wipe over with a dry, clean cloth to remove dust and debris, before tilting the slats upwards and repeating. For more stubborn marks, use a very diluted mix of detergent and water and gently rub with a cloth, wiping the area dry afterwards.

All Hillarys products conform to European safety legislation. When you buy a Wooden blind, your Hillarys fitter will also install a discreet little cleat or hook for the cord to wrap around, so there are no loose cords. These are fitted at a minimum height of 1.5m above the floor. Having a safety device is a legal requirement even in homes without children.
