Harkness Vapour

Place a Roman blind in Harkness Vapour in any room and you’ll create a look that’s warm and welcoming, with a subtle touch of elegance. Its sister fabric, Harkness Gasoline, is in our original Abigail Ahern collection but this new collection features an altogether softer, calmer vibe and Harkness Vapour has that in spades. Purple-greys grace this fabric, from pale to dark, forming diamond patterns of colour. But it’s the execution of these that really make this fabric – it’s as if the diamond outline has been sketched in ink, and then filled in with a watercolour wash, for a soft, flowing and relaxed look that will work really well whether the blind is extended or in folds. There’s a beautiful texture to this blind too, a velveteen feel that’s really tactile - pair it with like-minded accessories, including our matching cushions for a cocooning haven.

We want you to be completely satisfied with your Roman blinds, so we offer a full 12-month warranty as assurance that our products will stand the test of time. This is our promise to you that you’re investing in a quality product that’s made to the highest specifications. As part of your warranty we will repair or replace any faulty goods free of charge.

Using the upholstery attachment, gently vacuum your Roman blinds. Work in a downwards motion from top to bottom, paying particular attention to the bottom and side edges, where dust may gather. Stains can be spot treated with a clean, damp cloth or a specialist stain remover. Do not machine wash your Roman blinds – many of our fabrics are dry clean only.

All Hillarys products conform to European safety legislation. When you buy a Roman bind, your Hillarys fitter will also install a discreet little cleat or hook for the cord to wrap around, so there are no loose cords. These are fitted at a minimum height of 1.5m above the floor. Having a safety device is a legal requirement even in homes without children. If you move home and leave your blinds you have an obligation to make sure they are legally safe.
