It is smokey but to the densest and thickest of definitions. The Lyon Smoke Roman blind takes on a deep charcoal tone, finished with a luxurious chenille fabric that adds to its charms. It uses a crisscross of blacks and dark greys to create the effect, while the luxurious fabric adds depth, softness and cosiness. While dark tones can sometimes be overpowering, Lyon Smoke combines the subtle pattern with its soft yarns and adds a surprising level of innocence. Capable of slotting into any interior which requires a hint of darkness, without breaching black territory, Lyon Smoke is suited to both contemporary and traditional settings. It will combine to striking effect with fellow greys, or mix with a dash of reds or purples and allow vibrant tones to stand strong in a room.

Using the upholstery attachment, gently vacuum your Roman blinds. Work in a downwards motion from top to bottom, paying particular attention to the bottom and side edges, where dust may gather. Stains can be spot treated with a clean, damp cloth or a specialist stain remover. Do not machine wash your Roman blinds – many of our fabrics are dry clean only.

All Hillarys products conform to European safety legislation. When you buy a Roman bind, your Hillarys fitter will also install a discreet little cleat or hook for the cord to wrap around, so there are no loose cords. These are fitted at a minimum height of 1.5m above the floor. Having a safety device is a legal requirement even in homes without children. If you move home and leave your blinds you have an obligation to make sure they are legally safe.
