Turn your window into a little bit of the past with this Roman blind in Mali Husk. This is one of those designs that’s a bit like the chicken and the egg – which came first? Was it the Aztec-type symbol, with its stepped edges like back-to-back stairs, or was it the diamond shape created in the surrounding space? Luckily, you don’t need to know the answer to enjoy the design so just sit back and admire it. One of seven colours in this new range, Husk is a lovely neutral, a beige that’s got just enough depth to be warm without being too much of a colour, so it’s a great addition to a more neutral setting where you’re looking to add some pattern without diluting the neutral look.

Using the upholstery attachment, gently vacuum your Roman blinds. Work in a downwards motion from top to bottom, paying particular attention to the bottom and side edges, where dust may gather. Stains can be spot treated with a clean, damp cloth or a specialist stain remover. Do not machine wash your Roman blinds – many of our fabrics are dry clean only.

All Hillarys products conform to European safety legislation. When you buy a Roman bind, your Hillarys fitter will also install a discreet little cleat or hook for the cord to wrap around, so there are no loose cords. These are fitted at a minimum height of 1.5m above the floor. Having a safety device is a legal requirement even in homes without children. If you move home and leave your blinds you have an obligation to make sure they are legally safe.
