A beautiful white that’s pure yet not overly dazzling Glacier is our white Bamboo Venetian blind, designed in collaboration with House Beautiful. With bamboo you have the visual benefit of a graining too, and this shows through the brushed painted finish. If you like the appearance of shutters but are unable to have them for whatever reason, then Venetian blinds are an excellent alternative, and a bamboo blind in Glacier really will give the appearance of wood. There’s just enough warmth to the white that it won’t leave your room looking cold and you can alter this level of warmth with accessories – go amber, olive or navy to keep the heat, or add metallic, white or pastels to cool it down. Close your Faux Wood blinds and tilt the slats downwards until flat. Wipe over with a dry, clean cloth to remove dust and debris, before tilting the slats upwards and repeating. For more stubborn marks, use a very diluted mix of detergent and water and gently rub with a cloth, wiping the area dry afterwards.

All Hillarys products conform to European safety legislation. When you buy a Wooden blind, your Hillarys fitter will also install a discreet little cleat or hook for the cord to wrap around, so there are no loose cords. These are fitted at a minimum height of 1.5m above the floor. Having a safety device is a legal requirement even in homes without children.
