Ober Etch

There’s a lot to love about a Roman blind in new Ober Etch fabric. Part of our Abigail Ahern collection, it’s a fabric that looks luxuriously heavyweight, but it’s actually very soft and supple, gathering beautifully into the folds you need from a Roman blind. Inspired by the weaving of the African region it’s named after, flecks of dark grey dash across the creamy-grey background in a large diamond pattern, the looped fibres adding a ton of texture alongside the pattern. The symmetry of the pattern will help elongate the look of your window, whether the blind is retracted into soft folds or fully extended in all its glory. And did we mention it’s environmentally friendly too, as it’s made from 100% recycled polyester.

This is our promise to you that you’re investing in a quality product that’s made to the highest specifications. As part of your warranty we will repair or replace any faulty goods free of charge.

Using the upholstery attachment, gently vacuum your Roman blinds. Work in a downwards motion from top to bottom, paying particular attention to the bottom and side edges, where dust may gather. Stains can be spot treated with a clean, damp cloth or a specialist stain remover. Do not machine wash your Roman blinds – many of our fabrics are dry clean only.

All Hillarys products conform to European safety legislation. When you buy a Roman bind, your Hillarys fitter will also install a discreet little cleat or hook for the cord to wrap around, so there are no loose cords. These are fitted at a minimum height of 1.5m above the floor. Having a safety device is a legal requirement even in homes without children. If you move home and leave your blinds you have an obligation to make sure they are legally safe.
