Taking the forever popular grey colour, but turning the intensity way way down, it’s two barely-there shades on top of each other, with a reveal that comes through thanks to the jacquard weave. That same weave creates the pattern, a small-scale geometric sprig of squares and hexagons that looks less like a stylised pattern and more just an integral part of the fabric. Using the upholstery attachment, gently vacuum your Roman blinds. Work in a downwards motion from top to bottom, paying particular attention to the bottom and side edges, where dust may gather. Stains can be spot treated with a clean, damp cloth or a specialist stain remover. Do not machine wash your Roman blinds – many of our fabrics are dry clean only.

All Hillarys products conform to European safety legislation. When you buy a Roman bind, your Hillarys fitter will also install a discreet little cleat or hook for the cord to wrap around, so there are no loose cords. These are fitted at a minimum height of 1.5m above the floor. Having a safety device is a legal requirement even in homes without children. If you move home and leave your blinds you have an obligation to make sure they are legally safe.
