A geometric pattern gives a lift to this neutral Roman blind in Rebel Mushroom. It’s a jacquard weave, which automatically gives any fabric a little touch of elegance, and the colours are nicely natural, with a pale beige, golden but deep and burnished rather than bright and shiny, which create the geometric line pattern across a cream background. A simple repeated pattern of blacks of long and short lines, interspersed with thick and thin lines carries your eye up and down the length of fabric, so if you want to disguise overly-wide windows this would be an ideal choice. It’s a subtle design though, so don’t worry it will make your window look overly busy, and it could be a good starting point if you don’t normally have pattern but would like to start introducing it into your home.

Using the upholstery attachment, gently vacuum your Roman blinds. Work in a downwards motion from top to bottom, paying particular attention to the bottom and side edges, where dust may gather. Stains can be spot treated with a clean, damp cloth or a specialist stain remover. Do not machine wash your Roman blinds – many of our fabrics are dry clean only.

All Hillarys products conform to European safety legislation. When you buy a Roman bind, your Hillarys fitter will also install a discreet little cleat or hook for the cord to wrap around, so there are no loose cords. These are fitted at a minimum height of 1.5m above the floor. Having a safety device is a legal requirement even in homes without children. If you move home and leave your blinds you have an obligation to make sure they are legally safe.
