Product Details

The darkest colourway in our Serene range, Flint has a steely undertone to the mid-dark grey that gives it an almost earthy, grounded feel. There’s hints of green too, to keep that link with the natural world, but the grey is the true colour that gives depth to this brushed cotton. The weave is probably the most notable in this colour too, the solid colour broken up by the white threads and it adds an additional layer of texture, this time a more visual one. Of course, being brushed cotton there’s a lot of tactile pleasure to this fabric and you can really sense the pleasure of touch as you draw these curtains, your hands will want to linger across the soft folds of the fabric, a gentle start to your day or a calming finish at the other end. Pair them with Roman blinds in the same fabric for the ultimate flint experience.

Cleaning Tips

All our curtain fabrics are dry clean only, but there are other ways to keep your curtains looking great for longer. You can gently vacuum by using the upholstery attachment on your machine, or use a steamer starting at the top and working in large sweeping movements to the bottom of the curtains. For velvet fabrics, steam them from the lining side only. It is important to avoid getting water or steam on the face of the fabric as this may cause permanent damage. Check the fabric swatch for more information. Note: Curtains may shrink up to 3% after the first dry clean.

Child Safety

Standard curtains themselves are inherently child safe. However, as with all window dressings where cords are used, you should take steps to regularly check that your curtains are safe for children. This includes making sure that any cords used to hold header pleats in place are tied together and secured at all times, especially if you decide to adjust the header pleats after your curtains have been fitted. Never leave a length of cord exposed. Curtain tie-backs can also pose a risk to young children when they are looped in place around your curtains. We do not recommend curtain tie-backs in homes where young children are resident or visit. If you choose a corded curtain option, additional child safety devices will be fitted as standard. A tension spring device will be included to keep the cords under constant tension and a safety hook will be fitted to an adjacent wall with the cords hooked through to keep them out of reach of children.
