Serene Sand

Serene Sand is the culminating colour in the Serene range, drawing a little touch of colours from all the other Serene fabrics to result in this grey-green-brown hue that promises to make it an incredibly versatile fabric that you’ll be able to use in any room across your home. No matter the setting in your room, you can pull out whichever tone you need from this fabric in the way that you pair it, so surrounding it with greens will push the olive tones to the fore, for example. Utilise accessories or the existing décor for an instant shift in colour focus, or pair curtains in Serene Sand with a Roller or Roman blind in a different fabric from our Calm Living collection and watch the colours work with each other, as they’ve been designed to do. The brushed cotton fabric is beautifully soft and teams with the gentle colouring to deliver a fabric that’s as serene as its name.

All our curtain fabrics are dry clean only, but there are other ways to keep your curtains looking great for longer. You can gently vacuum by using the upholstery attachment on your machine, or use a steamer starting at the top and working in large sweeping movements to the bottom of the curtains. For velvet fabrics, steam them from the lining side only. It is important to avoid getting water or steam on the face of the fabric as this may cause permanent damage. Check the fabric swatch for more information. Note: Curtains may shrink up to 3% after the first dry clean.

Standard curtains themselves are inherently child safe. However, as with all window dressings where cords are used, you should take steps to regularly check that your curtains are safe for children. This includes making sure that any cords used to hold header pleats in place are tied together and secured at all times, especially if you decide to adjust the header pleats after your curtains have been fitted. Never leave a length of cord exposed. Curtain tie-backs can also pose a risk to young children when they are looped in place around your curtains. We do not recommend curtain tie-backs in homes where young children are resident or visit. If you choose a corded curtain option, additional child safety devices will be fitted as standard. A tension spring device will be included to keep the cords under constant tension and a safety hook will be fitted to an adjacent wall with the cords hooked through to keep them out of reach of children.
