Surface Frost

Donning the most chilling of backdrops, the Surface Frost Roman blind can be mistaken for a snowy, morning landscape. It contains the ice-cold finish that some interiors crave, but does it in a way that is far from simple. Using a vertically etched background, the off-white tone binds to the polyester fabric and creates a lifelike effect at a window. For a static Roman blind, the pattern allows an immense amount of depth and transports a room to a faraway winter wonderland. The icy vibe will naturally lend itself to decors finished in a similar theme, although it can also work well in those rooms which are playing on minimalistic tones, with the dash of character arriving courtesy of the intricate pattern. Or, the blind can be used as a direct contrast against bold and brighter tones which require balance, but not of the simpler white variety.

Using the upholstery attachment, gently vacuum your Roman blinds. Work in a downwards motion from top to bottom, paying particular attention to the bottom and side edges, where dust may gather. Stains can be spot treated with a clean, damp cloth or a specialist stain remover. Do not machine wash your Roman blinds – many of our fabrics are dry clean only.

All Hillarys products conform to European safety legislation. When you buy a Roman bind, your Hillarys fitter will also install a discreet little cleat or hook for the cord to wrap around, so there are no loose cords. These are fitted at a minimum height of 1.5m above the floor. Having a safety device is a legal requirement even in homes without children. If you move home and leave your blinds you have an obligation to make sure they are legally safe.
