Take the soothing shades of nature’s most bountiful colour – green – combine it with the rich flowing fabric of a jacquard weave plus the hypnotic pattern of a 16th century motif and you’ll have our most luxurious fabric in our Calm Living collection, Tranquil. It may sound like there’s a lot going on in this fabric, and you’d worry that it could be overly busy, the different aspects fighting with each other for prominence, but it’s been specifically created to ensure that all the components work in harmony with one another, resulting in a fabric that’s calm and restful. Tranquil Mineral is the green colourway in the range, a light mossy hue that’s dappled with darker tones courtesy of the striking pattern, the S curves that bend and meet then part again in a ripple of sedate movement. With curtains in Tranquil Mineral you’ll enjoy a sense of luxury that’s not too opulent but still warm and inviting.

All our curtain fabrics are dry clean only, but there are other ways to keep your curtains looking great for longer. You can gently vacuum by using the upholstery attachment on your machine, or use a steamer starting at the top and working in large sweeping movements to the bottom of the curtains. For velvet fabrics, steam them from the lining side only. It is important to avoid getting water or steam on the face of the fabric as this may cause permanent damage. Check the fabric swatch for more information. Note: Curtains may shrink up to 3% after the first dry clean.

Standard curtains themselves are inherently child safe. However, as with all window dressings where cords are used, you should take steps to regularly check that your curtains are safe for children. This includes making sure that any cords used to hold header pleats in place are tied together and secured at all times, especially if you decide to adjust the header pleats after your curtains have been fitted. Never leave a length of cord exposed. Curtain tie-backs can also pose a risk to young children when they are looped in place around your curtains. We do not recommend curtain tie-backs in homes where young children are resident or visit. If you choose a corded curtain option, additional child safety devices will be fitted as standard. A tension spring device will be included to keep the cords under constant tension and a safety hook will be fitted to an adjacent wall with the cords hooked through to keep them out of reach of children.
